Modly

Developers

Your community. Your tools.

Connect your Discord community to developer tools and AI agents. Read Modly settings, build XP leaderboards, review moderation and safely update module configurations through REST or MCP.

Included on Free: 60 requests/minute. Premium: 600 requests/minute.

Your first API request
read -r -s MODLY_API_KEY
export MODLY_API_KEY
curl --fail-with-body https://modly.cc/api/v1/modules \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $MODLY_API_KEY"

Paste a server API key when prompted. Create it in Dashboard → your server → Developer API with read:modules.

AI agents, connected

A hosted Streamable HTTP MCP server. Inspect your server in Codex or VS Code with tools that match your API key scopes.

One API for your server

Versioned REST endpoints, a generated OpenAPI 3.1 contract, real module schemas and consistent errors.

Control stays with you

Server-bound keys, explicit write access, audited changes and revision checks. Start with a read-only key.

Build something your community uses

  • An XP leaderboard on your website

    Fetch ranked members with read:leveling. Serve the results through your backend to keep the key private.

  • An assistant for server setup

    Inspect enabled modules and their real settings. Ask an agent for a proposed configuration change you can review.

  • Configuration in your deployment workflow

    Read the schema and current revision, validate changes and update settings without overwriting another administrator’s work.

  • Your own event integrations

    Subscribe to signed outgoing webhooks in the dashboard. Connect leveling and other module events to your own services.

Open dashboard and create a key

A leaderboard in Node.js

const key = process.env.MODLY_API_KEY;
if (!key) throw new Error("Set MODLY_API_KEY");
const response = await fetch(
  "https://modly.cc/api/v1/leveling/leaderboard?limit=10",
  { headers: { Authorization: `Bearer ${key}` } },
);
const result = await response.json();
if (!response.ok) throw new Error(result.error.message);
console.log(result.data);

Requires read:leveling. Run this on your server, never in frontend code. Discord user IDs are strings.

What is available today

REST and MCP expose server metadata, module status, configuration reads and writes, configuration schemas, XP leaderboards and moderation history. They do not ban members, send messages, execute FiveM commands, or expose billing and AI provider keys. Use the dashboard for those workflows.
